2/3 c. margarine, softened
1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg
2 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 c. margarine, softened
1/4 c. shortening
1 c. marshmallow cream
1 c. confectioners sugar
1/4 c. cocoa
Preparation

In large bowl, cream together 2/3 cup margarine, sugar and salt until light and fluffy.
Beat in egg, then 1 teaspoon vanilla. Blend in flour, one cup at a time.
Cover and chill 1 hour. Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
Divide dough in half.
On lightly floured board, roll out each half to 1/8-inch thickness.
With a 2 1/4-inch fluted-edge cookie cutter, cut dough into rounds.
With a 1/2-inch round cutter, cut out centers from half of rounds.
Place on greased cookie sheets.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until light brown. Cool on racks.
