Very Easy Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 egg, beaten
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    1/2 tsp. salt
    5 Tbsp. water
Preparation
    Combine flour and beaten egg, shortening, salt and water.
    Mix until dough is soft.
    Roll out thin.
    Cut into small strips and drop in boiling broth.
    Cook until tender.
