Pecan Pie Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yellow cake mix (reserve 2/3 c. mix)
    1/2 c. butter
    1 egg
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 1/2 c. white Karo syrup
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 eggs
Preparation
    Mix first 3 ingredients together and press into greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
    Beat together 2/3 cup reserved cake mix, brown sugar, white Karo syrup, vanilla and eggs. Pour over baked cake.
    Sprinkle with pecans.
    Return to 350\u00b0 oven for 30 to 35 minutes.
