Down-East Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. corn meal
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. sour cream
    1/4 c. melted butter
    1 tsp. dried thyme leaves
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 450\u00b0.
    In large bowl, combine all dry ingredients (except thyme).
    Mix well.
    Stir in sour cream.
    Mix just until dough almost forms.
    Use hands and gently form soft dough.
    You may have a little extra dry ingredients in bowl.
    Pat into 1/2 inch thickness.
    Cut into 2 1/2 inch rounds.
    Place on greased baking sheet.
    Brush top with butter and sprinkle with thyme.
    Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
