Fruit Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (29 oz.) can peaches, cherries, berries, etc. and juice
    2 c. sugar
    1 stick butter
    1 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    pinch of salt
    3/4 c. milk
Preparation
    Put fruit and 1
    cup
    sugar
    in boiler and warm, do not boil, but melt good.
    Put
    butter
    in 3 quart Pyrex dish.
    Set in oven and melt.
    Sift
    flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder and salt together;
    add milk.
    Pour batter in butter, put fruit on top and bake at 350\u00b0 until crust is brown, about 1 hour.
