Raisin Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 baked pie shell
    1 1/2 c. raisins
    1 c. water
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 c. milk
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    Cool Whip (optional)
Preparation
    Boil and simmer water and raisins about 20 minutes (cover with lid).
    Beat eggs with wire whip in bowl.
    Mix sugar and cornstarch; mix in with eggs; add milk.
    Add to cooked raisins and cook to boil.
    Remove from stove; add vanilla and butter.
    Cool and refrigerate.
    May top with Cool Whip.
