Old-Fashion Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening or butter
2 eggs
1 tsp. salt
2 c. flour
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. boiling hot water
3 Tbsp. cocoa

Preparation

Combine sugar, shortening, eggs, buttermilk, salt, soda and vanilla.
Add hot water and mix.
Add flour and cocoa; mix thoroughly.
Bake 30 minutes.
DON'T overbake.
