Mom'S Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 c. soft bread crumbs
    5 c. scalded milk
    1/2 c. butter
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    5 eggs, slightly beaten
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. cinnamon or nutmeg
    1/2 to 3/4 c. seedless raisins
Preparation
    Blend scalded milk, butter, sugar, eggs, salt, cinnamon/nutmeg and raisins. Pour over bread crumbs in baking dish. Put baking dish in pan of hot water (1-inch deep). Bake until silver knife inserted 1-inch from edge comes out clean. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes. Serve with or without sauce or cream.
