Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. corn meal
1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
1 egg
1 medium onion
3/4 to 1 c. milk or buttermilk

Preparation

Combine all dry ingredients.
In blender, mix egg, onion and milk or buttermilk.
Add milk mixture to dry ingredients.
Mix well.
Drop in deep hot fat by spoonfuls and brown on both sides.
