Strawberry Preserves - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. strawberries
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    3 c. sugar
    2 tsp. butter or margarine
Preparation
    You can either mash berries or leave them whole.
    Combine berries and vinegar. Start mixture on low heat.
    Bring to a boil and boil for 2 minutes.
    Add sugar and butter or margarine; boil for 25 minutes, stirring often to prevent sticking.
    Pour into large, shallow pan to cool, stirring occasionally.
    Dip preserves into jars and seal.
