Grandma Rose'S 1-2-3-4 Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine
    2 c. sugar
    3 c. flour
    4 eggs
    1 c. milk
    4 tsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. vanilla
    lemon flavoring
Preparation
    A very versatile plain cake recipe.
    Combine butter and sugar until creamy, add eggs and beat well.
    Add half the flour and half of the milk; beat, then add rest of the ingredients.
    Mix well. Place in 2 greased layer pans or 1 Bundt pan.
    Bake.
    Cool and frost.
