Mason County Yeast Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. boiling water
    1 1/2 pkg. yeast
    2 eggs
    3 c. flour
Preparation
    In a large mixing bowl, mix sugar, shortening and salt; pour boiling water over mixture.
    When water is lukewarm, sprinkle yeast and stir until dissolved.
    Add eggs and slowly add flour mixing as you add.
    Mix well.
    Cover and let rise 30 minutes in a warm area. Punch down.
    Roll out onto lightly flour surface.
    Cut with round cutter.
    Place into 3 buttered cake pans.
    Brush top with melted butter, cover (wax paper works well) and let rise again for 30 minutes.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for approximately 15 minutes or until lightly brown.
    Makes 30 to 36.
    Freezes well.
