Veggie Layered Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 head lettuce, finely sliced
1/2 c. diced green pepper
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. diced celery
1/2 pkg. frozen peas, broken apart or 1 can small peas, drained
1 can sliced water chestnuts, drained
equal parts Miracle Whip and sour cream (about 1 c. each)
3 to 4 tsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
bacon bits (optional)
cherry tomatoes
Preparation

In a 9 x 13-inch pan, layer in order:
lettuce, green pepper, chopped onion, celery, peas and water chestnuts.
Cover with equal parts of Miracle Whip and sour cream, the sugar and Worcestershire sauce, sealing edges.
Refrigerate overnight.
When ready to serve, add grated Cheddar cheese and bacon bits (optional).
Garnish with cherry tomatoes.
