Brunswick Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stewed, deboned chicken
    3 strips bacon
    1 qt. tomatoes
    1 small can tomato sauce
    2 peeled, chopped potatoes
    1 chopped onion
    1 chopped bell pepper
    3 chopped carrots
    several ears raw corn or cooked or 1 can creamed corn
    3 c. raw or cooked lima beans or 1 can lima beans
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    red pepper if desired
Preparation
    Stew the chicken.
    Add all the vegetables and seasonings if using raw vegetables.
    If using canned corn and lima beans do not add
    at this time.
    Add about 2 cups water or more, canned tomatoes and the bacon.
    Cook slowly for about 2 hours, stirring occasionally to keep from sticking.
    If using cooked or canned corn and canned lima beans add them about 30 minutes before stew is finished.
