Curried Ground Meat With Peas - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 medium onion, finely chopped
    6 medium size garlic cloves, peeled and finely chopped
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef/lamb
    1-inch cube fresh ginger, peeled and grated to a pulp
    1 fresh green hot chili
    1 tsp. ground coriander
    6 oz. water
    1 tsp. ground cumin
    6 to 7 oz. shelled peas or frozen
    1 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    steamed rice
Preparation
    Heat the oil in a wide, medium sized pan over a medium-high flame.
    When hot, add onion.
    Stir and fry them until they are lightly browned.
    Add the garlic.
    Stir and fry for a minute.
    Add ground meat, ginger, green chilies, ground coriander and cumin. Stir and fry meat for 5 minutes.
    Add 6 ounces of water and bring to a boil.
    Cover, turn heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes.
    Add the peas, salt and lemon juice.
    Cover and cook on low heat until peas are tender (about 5 minutes).
    Remove excess fat.
    Serve ground meat with steamed rice.
