Homemade Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. lukewarm water
    1 yeast cake
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 egg, well beaten
    plain flour
Preparation
    In bowl, put sugar, salt and lukewarm water and mix well.
    Add yeast cake.
    Blend in shortening and egg.
    Add enough sifted, plain flour to make a soft dough.
    Store in refrigerator.
    Punch out and shape into rolls as needed.
    Let rolls rise and bake at 450\u00b0 until brown.
    Dough should stay in refrigerator at least 6 hours before using.
