Joanie'S Italian Stuffed Peppers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium size green peppers
    1 lb. ground round or ground chuck
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. fennel seed, crushed
    1 (16 oz.) can chickpeas or garbanzo beans, drained
    1 egg
    1 tsp. oregano leaf, crumbled
    1/4 c. minced fresh parsley
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. Mozzarella cheese, diced
    1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
Preparation
    Chickpeas are the stretcher here instead of the usual.
