Dirty Rice (Dressing) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. sausage
    1/2 lb. hamburger
    2 medium onions, chopped
    1 small bell pepper, chopped
    1 rib celery
    2 cloves garlic
    1 can chicken broth
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/4 tsp. red pepper sauce
    2 to 2 1/2 c. cooked rice
    1/2 lb. chicken livers or gizzards
    3 green onions, chopped
Preparation
    Saute meat until brown; add onion, celery, green pepper and garlic.
    Cook, stirring and scraping bottom of pan.
    Saute livers and green onions in butter until done.
    Finely chop livers; stir livers mixture and chicken broth, salt, pepper and red pepper sauce into meat mixture.
    Reduce heat and simmer 40 minutes, covered.
    Simmer, uncovered, 20 minutes.
    Stir in as much as needed to make a moist dressing.
