Amish Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1 c. confectioners sugar
    1 c. butter
    1 c. vegetable oil
    2 eggs, well beaten
    4 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation
    Combine sugars and mix to blend.
    Add butter and oil.
    Beat well.
    Add eggs and mix well.
    Sift together flour, cream of tartar and baking soda.
    Add to sugar mixture.
    Beat well.
    Stir in vanilla.
    Form into balls.
    Dip cookie tops into small amount of granulated sugar and flatten with bottom of a glass.
    Place on ungreased baking sheet and bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 to 15 minutes. Makes 8 dozen.
