Marinated Slaw - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 large cabbage, grated
1 bell pepper, cut into small pieces
2 medium onions
2 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. plus 1 tsp. sugar
1 c. white vinegar
3/4 c. salad oil
1 tsp. celery seed
1 Tbsp. salt
Preparation

Mix first 4 ingredients together in large bowl (with lid) and set aside. Then mix together sugar, vinegar, oil, celery seed and salt. Bring to a boil. Pour over cabbage immediately. Cover tightly; do not uncover or stir. Let stand at room temperature for 2 hours. Then stir to mix well and refrigerate. Will keep up to 10 days in refrigerator.
