7-Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium head lettuce
    1 c. chopped green onions
    1 green pepper, chopped or sliced
    1 c. sliced celery
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas
    1 c. mayonnaise plus 1 c. sour cream
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 lb. bacon, fried crisp
    1 c. grated cheese
Preparation
    Tear lettuce into a large bowl.
    Cover with layers of onions, pepper, celery and frozen peas, in order given.
    Mix mayonnaise and sour cream; spread over salad to seal top completely.
    Sprinkle on sugar and crumbled bacon and top with cheese.
    Cover tightly with Saran Wrap and chill in refrigerator at least 12 hours before serving.
