Bavarian Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 sticks oleo
    4 eggs, separated
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 c. flour
    1 (21 oz.) can pie filling
Preparation
    Beat egg whites until stiff and set aside.
    Cream oleo and sugar; add egg yolks, flour, vanilla and egg whites.
    Pour onto a cookie sheet, reserving about 1/4 of the dough.
    Pour pie filling over and drop remaining dough.
    Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
