Seafoam Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. water
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg white
    1/2 c. nuts
Preparation
    Boil sugar and water until if forms a soft ball in cold water.
    Pour hot mixture over stiffly beaten egg white, beating constantly.
    Add nuts and vanilla, beating until stiff.
    When nearly set, drop by spoonfuls on wax paper.
    Will harden when cool.
