Popcorn Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. popped corn
    2/3 c. dark syrup
    2/3 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1/2 c. water
    1/4 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Mix syrup, sugar, butter, vinegar and water in pan.
    Boil gently without stirring until it forms a \"hard click\" ball when tested in cold water.
    Add soda and mix well.
    Pour over the popped corn, mixing as fast as possible, so each kernel is covered with the mixture.
    When cool, butter your hands and form size of balls you desire.
    This will keep the corn mixture from burning your hands.
