Apple Butter Spice Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 - 1/4 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine
2 eggs
3/4 cup apple butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 cup chopped nuts
Preparation

Set oven at 350\u00b0.
Grease and flour bottom of a 13 x 9 inch cake pan.
Sift flour with baking powder, soda and salt.
Gradually add sugar to butter in large mixing bowl.
Cream at high speed of mixer until light and fluffy.
At medium speed, add eggs, beating well after each addition.
Blend in apple butter and vanilla extract.
At low speed add sifted ingredients alternately with sour cream, beginning and ending with dry ingredients.
Blend well after each addition.
Pour half of batter into pan.
Combine brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and nuts.
Sprinkle half of mixture over batter. Spoon remaining batter into pan, spreading evenly.
Sprinkle the rest of the brown sugar mixture on top.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes until cake springs back when lightly touched in the center.
