Fresh Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 frozen 9-inch pie shells, baked
    8 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 large box strawberry jello
    2 1/2 c. water
    2 c. sugar
    1 qt. fresh strawberries
Preparation
    Place halved strawberries in baked pie shells.
    Cook other ingredients in saucepan until mixture turns dark red and thickens on medium heat.
    Pour over strawberries and chill 1 hour.
    Top with Cool Whip.
