Tart Cherry Jello Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can tart cherries
    1 (8 1/2 oz.) can crushed pineapple
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 (3 oz.) pkg. cherry jello
    1 1/2 c. ginger ale
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1/4 c. shredded coconut
Preparation
    Drain fruits.
    Keep juice and add enough water to make 1 5/8 cup liquid.
    Add sugar to juice and bring to a boil.
    Stir in jello, until dissolved.
    Add fruit and ginger ale.
    Stir in nuts and coconut and chill.
