Grandmother'S Italian Meat Pasta Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. beef for stew
    1/2 to 3/4 lb. Italian sweet sausage
    2 beef short ribs
    1/4 c. vegetable oil
    2 tsp. garlic powder
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    4 (28 oz.) cans Italian tomato puree
Preparation
    In an 8-quart pot, brown meat and seasoning in oil over medium heat until browned on all sides.
    Reduce heat to simmer.
    Add tomatoes and simmer 4 to 6 hours.
    Stir occasionally.
    Serve sauce over your favorite pasta with meat on the side.
    This dish can be made ahead and frozen.
    Serves 10 to 12.
