Marble Loaf Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 sq. unsweetened chocolate
2 1/2 c. sifted cake flour
3/4 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. soft butter
1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
3/4 tsp. vanilla extract
3/4 c. milk
Preparation

Melt chocolate over hot, not boiling, water.
Let cool. Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease and flour a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. Sift flour with salt and baking powder; set aside.
In a large bowl of electric mixer at medium speed, beat butter and sugar until light.
Add eggs and vanilla, beating until light and fluffy.
At low speed, beat in flour mixture, alternating with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture.
In medium bowl, combine 1/3 batter with chocolate, mixing well.
Spoon plain and chocolate batters, alternately, into prepared pan.
Cut batter, forming Z.
Bake 65 minutes or until cake tester inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool in pan 15 minutes.
Remove from pan; cool thoroughly on wire rack.
To serve, cut in thin slices.
