Sweet Dill Slices - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    36 (4-inch) cucumbers, sliced
    2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. dill seed
    3 c. cider vinegar
    2 Tbsp. mustard seed
    2 Tbsp. salt
Preparation
    Wash cucumbers and cut into 1/4-inch slices.
    Combine other ingredients in pot over medium heat.
    Bring to a boil.
    Add cucumber slices.
    Simmer 20 minutes.
    Pack slices in hot jars, cover with syrup and seal at once.
    Note:
    Less salt can be used and vinegar can be cut with water if too strong.
    Makes about 4 pints.
