Baked String Beans(Fagiolini Al Forno) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 (16 oz.) cans French-style string beans
    1/2 c. butter plus 2 Tbsp.
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 c. Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
Preparation
    Drain string beans
    in colander; set aside.
    In a large skillet, melt butter
    and
    saute
    onion.
    When onion is tender but not brown, add beans and saute for 5 minutes.
    Remove from heat and toss the breadcrumbs in with the bean mixture.
    Place in buttered 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
    Dot with butter and bake at 350\u00b0 for 30
    to
    40 minutes.
    Makes 8 to 10 servings.
    This is a wonderful dish to have for a buffet table, always a hit.
