Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. white Karo
    1 1/2 c. water
    3 c. raw peanuts
    1 1/2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Boil sugar, syrup and water to 260\u00b0.
    Add
    peanuts
    and butter and boil until light brown in color.
    Remove
    from fire and add soda and vanilla which has been mixed
    with 1 teaspoon water. Pour
    on a well-greased cookie
    sheet.
    Spread
    thin. Cool.
