Oatmeal Crisps - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. shortening (1/2 butter for flavor)
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. plain sifted flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
3 c. quick cooking oats
Preparation

Mix together shortening and sugars.
Add vanilla and eggs. Mix well, then add flour, salt and soda.
Finally, add oats.
Roll batter in two rolls, in wax paper, about 2 1/2-inches thick. Place on pan in freezer.
Slice about 1/3-inch thick and bake as needed.
Bake 10 to 13 minutes at 375\u00b0.
