Chocolate Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. oatmeal
1 1/2 c. boiling water
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. cocoa
1 c. sifted flour
1/2 c. cocoa
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda

Preparation

Combine oatmeal and boiling water; set aside.
Cream shortening and sugar; add oatmeal mixture, eggs, vanilla.
Then add flour mixture.
Bake in greased 9 x 13-inch pan at 350\u00b0 until done.
Top with frosting.
