Cherry Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. cherries and a little juice
    4 Tbsp. sour milk
    4 Tbsp. melted shortening
    1 beaten egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. nuts
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients together as listed.
    Beat well.
    Bake in a greased loaf pan for 35 minutes in a moderate 375\u00b0 oven.
    Serve with whipped cream.
