Pepper Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head cabbage (medium size)
    1/2 c. carrots, grated
    1/2 c. bell pepper
    1/2 c. celery
    celery seed (optional)
    2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Mix sugar and vinegar in small saucepan. Boil 5 minutes. Cool mixture. Grate cabbage. Sprinkle salt over the top of cabbage. Let stand for 1 hour. Squeeze out excess water. Stir in carrots, bell pepper and celery. Gently fold in sugar and vinegar mixture.
