Party Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3 c. water
2 c. milk
1 stick margarine
1 tsp. salt
4 c. instant potatoes
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 c. sour cream or onion dip
3 Tbsp. chives
1 1/2 tsp. garlic

Preparation

Heat the first 4 ingredients to scalding.
Mix the remaining ingredients in a bowl.
Pour the hot liquid over the instant potato mixture; blend well (a mixer works best).
Pour into a lightly greased casserole dish.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes, or until lightly browned.
