Beef Loaf With Wine - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. lean ground beef
    1/2 c. soft bread crumbs
    1/2 c. chopped onions
    garlic powder
    2 eggs
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 tsp. fresh tarragon or basil
    1/4 c. melted butter
    red wine
Preparation
    Mix first 8 ingredients together with 1/4 cup wine.
    Pack into a loaf pan lined with waxed paper and chill.
    Turn out on a cookie sheet and score top with the back of a knife.
    Mix together melted butter and 1/2 cup wine.
    Bake loaf in preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 1 hour, basting occasionally with butter-wine mixture.
    Good with mushroom sauce or sour cream.
    Makes 6 to 8 servings.
