Nut Candy("Nuent") - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 lb. walnuts or pecans, chopped
    2 c. honey
Preparation
    Bring the sugar and honey to a boil; boil them for 10 minutes. Slowly add
    the nuts.
    Cook the mixture until it is thick, until the candy thermometer registers the soft-crack stage.
    Spoon the mixture out onto a wet marble slab or wooden board.
    Dip your hands in ice water and pat the mixture into a square, about 1-inch thick.
    Let the square cool slightly.
    Using a sharp knife, cut into squares or diamonds.
    Yields about 2 1/2 pounds.
