Scottish Shortbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. unsalted butter, softened
    1 c. sugar
    5 c. unsalted all-purpose flour
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 275\u00b0.
    Grease 4 (8-inch) round cake pans.
    In large mixing bowl with electric mixer at medium speed, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
    Beat in flour (1 cup at a time), until well mixed.
    Divide dough into 4 equal pieces.
    Pat each piece evenly into bottom of pan with hands.
    With tines of fork, prick dough all over to prevent bubbles.
    Serves 32.
