Country Style Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 pieces cube steak
    1 c. vegetable oil
    1/2 stick margarine
    1 c. self-rising flour
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Heat oil to medium heat.
    Wash steak; while wet, roll in flour.
    Add margarine to oil.
    Fry quickly until brown on both sides.
    Place in deep baking dish.
    Pour off oil leaving about 4 tablespoons.
    Brown a scant 1/2 cup flour to a light brown, stirring constantly.
    Add 3 large cups water.
    Let come to a boil. Continue to stir.
    Pour over steak.
    Cover dish.
    Cook at 350\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
    Add more water if needed for gravy.
