4 Layered Chocolate Speckled Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. plus 2 tsp. unsalted butter
    10 oz. grated semi-sweet chocolate chips
    8 eggs
    1 1/2 c. cake flour
    1 1/4 c. sugar
Preparation
    Grease 2 round pans with flour and 2 tablespoons butter.
    Melt very slowly in a double boiler 1 1/2 pounds butter until just creamy.
    Add to mixer 8 egg yolks with 3/4 cup sugar on high 1 minute.
    Will be slightly thick and yellowish.
    Put on slow speed and add cake flour, scrape bowl, add creamy butter.
    Beat 8 egg whites with 1/2 cup sugar until stiff peaks then add to mixture. Fold in 8 ounces grated chocolate.
