Easy Chicken Pot Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. carrots, sliced
    1 c. celery, chopped
    1 c. onion, chopped
    1/3 c. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 c. milk or half and half
    2 c. chicken broth
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    4 c. cooked chicken, chopped
    1 can English peas
    Pillsbury All-Ready Crust pie crust
Preparation
    Saute
    carrots, celery and onions in butter over medium heat, about 10 minutes.
    Stir
    in
    flour
    and
    cook
    1 minute. Combine milk and broth.
    Pour
    slowly
    into
    flour mixture and blend well. Continue to
    cook
    mixture
    until it thickens and becomes bubbly. Remove from heat.
    Pour into baking dish; add peas, cooked chicken, salt and pepper.
    Mix well.
    Place crust over
    mixture, cutting slits in the top to vent.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for
    30
    to
    35 minutes until crust is brown.
    (Recipe may be doubled.)
