Aunt Bea'S Apple Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. enriched flour
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 c. Crisco shortening
    1/2 c. milk
    apples
    sugar and spices
    butter
Preparation
    Pare and core apples.
    Place apple slices on 5-inch squares. Sprinkle generously with sugar and spices; dot with butter.
    Fold the four corners toward middle and pinch edges.
    Place 1-inch apart on greased baking dish.
