Devil'S Food Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. cocoa
    2 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. water
    1 3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. butter (use real butter for best results)
    3 eggs, beaten
    3/4 c. buttermilk
    2 1/2 c. flour
Preparation
    Mix cocoa, soda and water.
    Let stand.
    Mix other ingredients in the order given.
    Mix well.
    Add cocoa mixture.
    Pour into lightly greased and floured pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 45 minutes.
    (Test doneness after 30 minutes by inserting knife into the center. If the knife comes out clean, the cake is ready!) Frost the cake if you like or cover with confectioners sugar, lightly sprinkled.
