Apricot Congealed Salad With Secret Ingredient - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (3 oz.) boxes apricot Jell-O
    1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple
    2 c. buttermilk
    1 c. pecans
    1 (12 oz.) carton Cool Whip
Preparation
    Mix Jell-O and crushed pineapple in saucepan.
    Cook until it comes to a boil.
    Set aside and cool slightly.
    Add buttermilk (secret ingredient).
    Stir well and refrigerate until texture is like mayonnaise.
    Take out and add Cool Whip and pecans.
    Mix well.
    Pour into long Pyrex dish (13 x 9-inch), sprayed with Pam. Chill several hours or overnight.
    This is very good and buttermilk is undetected.
