Febe'S Pralines - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. Karo (either light or dark)
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 tsp. butter
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. pecans
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients, except
    pecans,
    and
    cook to 134\u00b0 (softball stage).
    Add pecans.
    Let
    cool
    and
    then
    beat it. Drop on waxed paper.
    (If it gets
    too hard, put back on stove and let it melt some.)
