Colonial Corn Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. self-rising corn meal
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. salt
1 c. commercial sour cream
1 c. cream-style corn
1/2 c. melted shortening or bacon drippings
Preparation

Combine first 5 ingredients, mixing well.
Heat bacon drippings in black iron skillet or corn bread pan.
Pour about of drippings into corn bread mixture and mix well.
Pour into skillet and bake at 400\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
