West Virginia Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 3/4 c. warm milk
    4 Tbsp. shortening
    1/4 c. warm water
    2 pkg. yeast
Preparation
    Sift first 4 ingredients together in large bowl.
    Add shortening and blend well.
    Dissolve yeast in water and add to milk.
    Add to flour and mix to soft dough.
    Turn on board and knead until smooth, roll out and cut into biscuits.
    Brush with oil and put on cookie sheet.
    Let rise until double in size, about 45 minutes.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 until golden brown.
