Smoky Sausage 'N Rice - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. (10 or 12) smoked sausage links
2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1/4 c. chopped onions
1/4 c. chopped green pepper
2 c. water
2 Tbsp. minced pimiento
2 packets MBT instant beef flavored broth
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1 c. uncooked rice
1 (15 to 16 oz.) can black-eyed peas, drained
Preparation

Cut sausage into bite size pieces.
Saute in vegetable oil. Stir in onions and green pepper; continue to saute until vegetables are tender.
Stir in water, pimiento, MBT and black pepper.
Bring to a boil.
Stir in the rice and black-eyed peas. Cover; lower heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
Makes 6 servings (about 1 cup each).
